My name is Anthony Adefarakan, and by the grace of God I am the privileged President of Global Emancipation Ministries - Calgary, Canada (GLOEM, Canada) and Global Emancipation Ministries, Asaba, Nigeria (GLOEM Nigeria).
I was born into a Christian family where we all prayed every morning and every night, went to Church on Sundays and on certain weekly activities, read the Bible among other things expected of a Christian home.
My parents did not spare the rod at any point in time during my formative years; they tried their best to instill discipline and the fear of God in their children. But during this period, I was not yet saved.
In April 1994, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ after a senior student in my school preached to me. It was such a glorious experience as I almost immediately started holding fellowship meetings and telling other students about the Gospel of Jesus.
This zeal however was short-lived as I began to make friends with the “happening –boys” of my school in those days. I wanted to be like them; I wanted to be dreaded by other students, do anything and get away with it, command respect from my fellow students, and before I knew it, my spiritual light went dim and I began mocking the things of God. Though I was still going to church with my parents, my relationship with the Lord was in disarray.
During this period, I lied, misbehaved, disrespected my parents, engaged in systematic alcoholism, conspired with friends against other students and just lived in disobedience to the Word of God.
But in 2002, the Good Shepherd found me again and brought me home to His glorious sheepfold. I rededicated my life to Him, got baptized in the Holy Ghost, severed my unholy relationships and immediately got engaged in the service of God – evangelizing, singing in the choir, writing and editing Gospel articles among others. It was so nice to be back in grace.
However, on 22nd February 2008 while waiting on God for direction, He told me my assignment is to liberate men through the knowledge of the Truth anchored on Isaiah 61:1-3 and John 8:32,36.
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." (Isaiah 61:1-3).
And on 4th January 2012, the Lord said to me “Create a ministry around your purpose”. It was at this point the Lord called me into this Emancipation Ministry. He told me all I needed to know at the time and has since then been revealing more, especially as it pertains to the execution of the assignment.
Upon expressing my concerns about the assignment and also inquiring from Him on how He would have it run, He gave me a covenant platform upon which I’m to stand in the execution of the mandate. It’s in I Thessalonians 5:24 – ‘Faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it’. And that has been my rest in my journey of faith since then.
In the course of my ministerial journey, I served as an Altar Minister at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dominion Model Parish, Shalom Area, Asaba, Nigeria from April 2009 to 25th December, 2012 when I was commissioned as the Pioneer Pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Revelation Parish, Shalom Area in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.
I thereafter proceeded to the Redeemed Christian School of Missions, Nigeria (Asaba Campus) to learn more about the Field Ministry; and on 29th September 2013, I was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Tent – Making Mission.
I served in the capacity of a Parish Pastor in RCCG until 1st February 2015 when I officially handed over to a new Pastor in order to pursue my field ministry to which the Lord had earlier called me and for which the authority of the church had prayed and released me to undertake.
On 2nd September, 2015 after months of prayers by the Ministry’s Volunteer Power House, the Ministry was officially born in Nigeria (ETMI) and the Executive Council was inaugurated the same day.
On 21st October 2015, the Ministry commenced her weekly teaching and prayer meetings (Liberation hour and Divine appointment respectively) where I had the privilege of unraveling the deep truths contained in the Word of God under the sole influence of the Holy Spirit as well as leading the people of God in heartfelt prayers. These meetings are still running under the leadership of the Holy Spirit through the Ministry’s Director of Mission Outreaches.
The Lord joined me to my destiny helper, Ifeoluwa Adefarakan, in Holy Matrimony on 21st November 2015 and my journey took a new dimension. He has since then given us a fruitful and blissful marriage. To Him alone be praise.
By the grace of God, in carrying out this emancipation mandate, I have led my ministry officers to field ministrations in different Prisons, Hospitals, Orphanages, Rural communities, Camp settlements, Markets, Local churches among other places with great successes on all occasions – such as salvation of sinners, healing of the sick, financial empowerment of mission churches, provision of relief materials to the poor, provision of medical services to the underprivileged, baptism in the Holy Ghost, deliverance from demonic oppression, release of inmates just to mention a few - all to the glory of God Who alone is the Doer.
In addition to these, in March 2017, I had the privilege of becoming engaged as a lecturer at the Asaba Campus of the Redeemed Christian School of Missions (RECSOM), training Pastors and Missionaries on courses such as Strategies of Missions and Life on the Mission field till they graduated.
However, on 23rd January 2018, the Lord opened a ministerial door for us in Canada, North America according to His prophecy in 2017 with the mandate still as ‘liberating men through the knowledge of the Truth;” and the One Who did the calling is faithfully doing it in Canada even more than He did and is still doing in Nigeria.
That is my journey of faith in summary.
I am on the Lord’s side and I am on this planet to fulfill His mandate. If the Lord could find me in my dirty state, restore me and even make me His representative, there is hope for anyone who dares to believe. My messages through live ministrations in church meetings, podcasts, print media, social media and every other means have only one purpose - to bring solution to every area of concern in your life through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Be open to these ministrations with readiness to apply the principles, and in no time, you will be celebrating your freedom.
Jesus is my Message, Freedom is the Outcome!
